(With Permission) the first release of 2018 from Spoken Label, is Flixton's Potting Shed Pete with his excellent headline set in January 2018 at the monthly poetry night at Manchester Central Night Word Central ran in conjunction with Flapjack Press.

Potting Shed is an engaging character, with a fully worked out stage persona of a cheerful Northern bloke in flat cap and white gloves. As you'll hear from his wor most of his poem’s are light-hearted observational fare, but occasionally he’ll reveal a more serious side to his work, which is more effective by the contrast and somebody I hope to do a podcast with later in the year.

This set featuring a mixture of old and new poems is a treat and a great way to start off the year for Spoken Label.
