Mel was born in Worcester, where she spent a wonderful childhood spuddling on the banks of the River Severn with her Mum, Dad and her dog Sam. When she wasn’t playing “Pooh Sticks” or teaching Sam new tricks, she could be found climbing trees, riding her bike or camping outside in her parents’ ancient canvas tent and making up adventure games with her friends.

She is the author of 7 books (all of which are discussed in the podcast)
